ABC News 4 wants to highlight your military heroes, past or present.
Please send their picture, name, rank, and a brief summary about their service in the submission portal below.
Our first hero is Ralph H. Johnson, the namesake of Charleston's VA Hospital. A Charleston native, Johnson sacrificed his life in the Vietnam War by jumping on a grenade to protect fellow Marines in 1968.
Johnson was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor and a Purple Heart.
Your hero could be featured live during our weekday newscasts.
